Such a Sweet Boy

Nite is a seven year old black male. He ran 41 races at Gulf Greyhound Park. He has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Nite came to Our Village through another adoption group. They placed him and he started to show signs of severe thunder phobia. He was very reactive towards people when they asked him to go out or do other tasks during a storm. We brought him to the farm and found him to be a delightful, fun, loving and sweet boy who didn't like thunder storms or even rain storms. We have worked with him over the year that he was been with us and he is much better during storms. Instead of the panting, quivering, drooling wide-eyed panicked greyhound he was, he is now able to lie down in a crate and pant less than he did before. We know that he needs his own space during rain, thunder and lightening, hail and fireworks. We know that he needs to be crated or put in an X-pen where he can feel safe and know that no one will bother him. We know that he is better during severe storms and fireworks with some type of mild sedation, like a benadryl. Due to his storm/fireworks phobia, we will not place him with kids. He likes kids and has not problem being around them, but we feel that he would do best in an environment where they only were visitors. Nite loves being outside with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and participates in the daily zoomies. He will initiate play or keep himself occupied. He loves to go out for a walk and he walks nicely on a leash. He knows that when he returns from playing or walking he gets a treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. We are looking for an experienced greyhound adopter who understands and will respect Nite's fear.

After all his travel throughout the Sunshine State, he is ready to find a furever family and enjoy his retirement. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Jiosa enjoyed a long career and he has the all the normal character traits of an older greyhound. He is very confident, but he is not pushy. He picks up a new routine fast and he is eager to please. He is very laid back and nothing seems to bother him. He gets along with all the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He can hang out with the very confident and the very shy greyhounds. He enjoys playing with toys, even the ones that do not squeak, and he shares them nicely with the others. He likes to get those zoomies in during his time out in the paddock and will do them with a group or on his own. He enjoys getting your attention and affection, and he stands quietly by your side. He likes to go out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He even has a little swagger to his step and he shows off his shiny hiney!! He knows when he is supposed to get a treat and he takes them nicely from our hands. Jiosa will make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Wonderful Family Greyhound

Beemer is a four year old black male. He ran 97 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Now he is looking for a long term commitment with a loving family that wants a very affectionate hound. He has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Beemer is a lover and a leaner. He will lean on you so hard that if you move, he just may fall over. He loves to get attention and affection from people, and has never met a stranger. He gets along greyt with the other greyhounds and will join them for zoomie time. He has shown some interest in toys, but would give them up for some ear rubs and a butt scratch. He does initiate play and interaction with a goofy play bow. We believe that due to his outgoing and interactive nature, he would make a good therapy greyhound candidate. He loves to go out for walks and he will even stand perfectly still for you to put on his harness. He walks nicely on a leash and he has a confident swagger to his stride. He enjoys getting treats, but has not started to take them from our hands. He will watch you and wait patiently for you to put one in his crate for him. Could Be a Cuddler

Josh is a three year old black male. He ran 99 races at Palm Beach and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. Now this affectionate and engaging boy is looking for a fun loving family that would like to be in a committed long-term relationship. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Josh is truly a wonderfully fun, goofy and attentive boy. He loves being around people and prefers the human attention over the company of his own kind. Don't get us wrong, he likes being out with the other greyhounds and he does have fun with them. He does participate in the daily zoomie run and he has been seen initiating. He also loves to play with the toys, even the ones that do not squeak, and he shares nicely. But once he has spent time playing and starts getting attention from the human, he just wants attention from the human. He loves ear rubs and he will occasionally chatter his teeth or puff out his cheeks to let you know he is enjoying it. Due to his friendly and outgoing nature, we believe that he would make a greyt therapy greyhound or "ambassa-dog" candidate. He enjoys going out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He will even stand still to let you put on his harness. He has a nice swagger to his walk and when you stop, he will lean on you. He knows that when he returns from his walks, he gets a treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. This boy has it all!! Your Shadow

Danny is a three year old black male. He ran 85 races at Dubuque, Sarasota and Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now that he did all that travel, he is looking for a family who wants a greyt furever boy in their lives. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Danny is just a pleasure to be around. He has a very "old soul" kind of feel about him and he can win you over with just one look from those big beautiful eyes. He enjoys getting your attention and affection. He will stand by your side and lean on you for as long as your are petting him. He will be some lucky adopter's "Velcro" boy. He enjoys playing with the other greyhounds and does share nicely. He likes the toys, but he tends to stick to the ones that will squeak. But he is not toy obsessed and he is definitely capable of entertaining himself. He likes to join in with the zoomies, but he is not an initiator. He does not like greyhounds that tend to be bullies. He would much rather be around the goofy playful greyhounds. We believe that with his outgoing and confident, but not pushy, personality, he would make a greyt therapy greyhound candidate. He loves to go out for walks and once he gets into it he walks nicely on a leash. When he returns from his walk, he does expect his treat and will watch you intensely until you get it for him. Then he takes it nicely from your hand. Danny would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Jessie is a four year old red fawn female. She ran 179 races at Gulf, Palm Beach, Orange Park and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After all that travel and chasing, she is ready to find a furever family of her own and settle down. She has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Jessie has a very sweet and playful personality. She can act a little coy when she first meets you and will give you her big pouty face to win you over. She is very affectionate and loves to follow you around. She will be some lucky adopter's "Velcro" hound. She loves being out with the other greyhounds and she gets along with all of them. She hasn't shown any interest in toys, even when you squeak the toy right in front of her. She will walk towards you, and you think that it is for the toy, but she really just wants to be with you. It was very hard to get her picture because we couldn't get enough distance from her. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She will even stand perfectly still while you put on her harness. She does know that she gets a treat after her walk and she will give you a stare down until there is a cookie coming her way. She has not taken the treats from our hands yet, but she will nose the until you put them down. Jessie would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Needs a Special Person

Amandaville is a four year old red female. She ran 43 races at Orange Park and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now she needs a special person who will give her the time and support she needs to be successful in her furever home. She has tested other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Amandaville was placed in a home, but she took over and had to be returned. She has a very strong personality and would do best with other greyhounds in her home with an experienced adopter. She needs someone who is going to set limits with her and stick to them. She also needs a fenced in backyard so she can enjoy her zoomie time and play. She has been at Greyt Acres Farm for a while now and our volunteers have worked with her. They have done an amazing job helping her drop some extra pounds and working on her social skills. It is because of their hard work and dedication that she is ready to find her true forever home. Due to her first placement, we will not place her in a home with kids. She likes kids and has no problem with them, but we do not want her to become alpha over them. She loves to go out for her walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She loves getting treats and she takes them nicely from your hand. We recommend that her new parents take her to obedience training to help her understand that they are in charge. Amandaville would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

He has not started to play with toys and he has not shown very much interest. He gets along greyt with the other greyhounds and he definitely takes the backseat in the pack. He does like to get attention and affection from our volunteers, and he will patiently wait his turn. He doesn't mind going for a walk, but he would prefer going with someone he is familiar with. WAGNER

Needs Someone Special

Fairy is a two year old brindle female. She ran 3 races at Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now this very shy girl is looking for a home that will give her the time she needs to adjust. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Fairy is one of three sisters that we currently have available for adoption. Out of the three of them, she is the shyest and needs the most time to adjust to new people and new environments. It takes her longer than her sisters to warm up to people. Once she starts to trust you, she will come to you and even be affectionate, but she is still cautious. She gets along greyt with the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She will play and do zoomies with the others, even with her sisters. If another greyhound gets pushy with her, she will walk away. Due to her need for adjustment in a quiet environment, we will only place her with older kids (12+) and even then we will be very cautious. We believe her perfect furever home will have another dog in the house, not necessarily a greyhound to help her become a pet and have a furry friend. Her family needs to have a fenced in backyard, because it will take her time to adjust to walking on a leash with new people and in a new place. Watching a shy greyhound emotionally grow in their furever home is very rewarding experience. She just needs the right adopter. Fairy would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Toy Addict

Bogey is a three year old black male. He ran 71 races at Orange Park and Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now he wants to find a furever home with plenty of room to play and a family that will supply him with all the toys his heart desires. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, but he is not cat or small animal safe. Bogey is addicted to toys. He will go from toy to toy to toy with a strong passion to find one that will squeak. He likes being with the other greyhounds in his playgroup, but he does not find them necessary. He is quite capable of entertaining himself. He will do his zoomies by himself and he will even throw the toy in the air and catch it. When he is in there with other greyhounds, he shares nicely and will play and zoom with them. If he has a toy that another greyhound wants, he will simply take the toy and run away with it. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). His perfect home has a fenced in backyard and another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for plenty of play time. He likes to go out for walks, and he could use some practice not pulling on the leash. He is a smart boy and knows when he is supposed to get a treat. He gets excited, but he takes them gently from your hand. Bogey would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

She likes to play with toys, even the ones that no longer have squeakability. She has no problem sharing with the other greyhounds and will also let you take the toy from her. Brood Momma!

Etnia is an eight year old brindle female. She ran 212 races at Orange Park and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. After such a long and illustrious career at the track, she returned to her farm for a second career as a brood mom. She had her first and only litter four months ago. There was only one pup in that litter and he/she has not been registered yet. Now she is ready to find her furever family to baby her for her retirement. She has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Etnia is just the happiest, friendliest and affectionate girl ever and she loves to be around people. She loves to go out with the other greyhounds and she shares nicely. She gets very excited for our afternoon play time and will do her daily zoomies both with or without the other greyhounds. She loves toys and will even play with the ones that no longer squeak. If there is any trouble in the playgroup, she will run over and fix it with just her presence. She is not pushy or a bully, she just has that Brood Momma confidence that other greyhounds automatically respect. She really enjoys being around people and will become your shadow in the play area. She always greets you with a big smile and a helicopter tail. Her tail is shorter and it seems that she may have had some of it surgically removed, probably due to happy tail. Due to her friendly, outgoing and confident nature, we believe that she would make a greyt therapy greyhound. She enjoys going for walks and can be a little pulley on a leash at first from the excitement. But she settles in nicely and then walks like a champ. She loves to get treats and she takes them nicely from our hands. Etnia would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Bri is a three year old red male He ran 55 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Now he is looking for a furever home and a loving family to call his own. He has tested other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Bri is very fun and social. He likes to play and run around doing his zoomies. He doesn't mind being in the play yard with the other greyhounds and he will run and play with them, but he has been known to go off by himself with a toy. He gets along well with males and with females, but he seems to respect an assertive female more. We placed him in a home twice, and he was returned for the same reason. If he has a toy or a treat on his bed and you approach him, he growls. He needs an experienced and dedicated dog owner who will put in the time and take him to obedience training. Due to his guarding behavior, we will not place him in a home with kids. We believe that he would do best as a second or third dog in the house so that he can integrate into a pack. He needs a backyard so that he can play and run. He is very affectionate and engaging. He loves getting attention from our volunteers and enjoys being chased around the play yard. He loves to go for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He knows that he gets a treat after his walk and he takes them gently from your hand. Bri would make a greyt addition to an existing pack with an experienced owner.

Lady is more reserved than your average brood momma. She is given immediate respect from the other hounds, but she is not an "in charge" kinda girl. She is very laid back and even gets a little nervous in new situations. Once she understands what is expected, she shows her affectionate and laid back side. She enjoys being with the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she shares nicely. She is not pushy for your attention, but she will hang around you and approach you slowly. She has not started to play with toys, but she does show interest in the squeak. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. If you stop walking, she will stand there leaning on your leg. She enjoys getting treats, but she is a little fussy over what she likes. She loves cheese and stinky treats the most. She is outgoing with people, but not pushy or demanding of attention. She is very content just getting pets and affection. She will even follow you around until you notice her and give her some lovin'. She gets along with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She doesn't show any interest in toys. We spent a long time squeaking toys and throwing them, but she just looked at us like we were crazy. She does participate in the zoomies, but she does not initiate them. Diamond in the Rough

Leta is a two year old red female. She ran four races at Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now she is looking to find a loving furever family that has dog experience and a big fenced in yard. She has tested older kid and some large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Leta is a friendly and outgoing girlie hound who likes to be in charge. She has a dominate personality and needs an experienced dog owner who will set limits and stick to them. She is very sweet and loves the affection and attention of our volunteers. She enjoys getting pets and will stand next to you forever as long as you are petting her. She will even lean on you and has been known to let out a moan or two during some serious ear rubs. She gets along with some of the greyhounds in her playgroups. She likes to be in charge and does best with a mid pack dog, not too weak and not in charge. She loves to play and do her zoomies, and she has no problem initiating either with the other members of the playgroup. She loves toys and she will share them with the other greyhounds. She loves the toys whether they squeak or not. Her furever parents need to provide a large toy collection for this girl. Due to her in charge nature, we will only place her with older kids (12+). We will also recommend that her adoptive family take her to training classes. Don't miss out on her, she is a diamond in the rough and will certainly make her family proud. She loves to go for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. Leta would make a greyt family member to an experienced dog family.

So Sweet

Ada is a three year old fawn female. She ran 85 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. We placed her littermate brother Alton, Wv's Alton, in his furever home and her littermate brother Bri, Wv's Bri Bur, is also available for adoption through Our Village. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Ada is very sweet and will be some lucky human's heart hound. She is nervous in new situations and with new people but once she settles in and knows what is expected, she is very engaging. She is not a shy dog, just apprehensive. She gets along greyt with the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she shares nicely. If another greyhound wants something that she has or is showing interest in, she will simply walk away and let them take it. When she is comfortable with the volunteer, she will kind of hang around by them. Due to her reserved nature and her need to have some adjustment time, we will only place her with older kids (5+). She does have a bad case of happy tail, the tip splits from banging it into surfaces, and we are trying to let it heal to avoid amputation. She likes to go out for walks, but she prefers to go with another greyhound or a volunteer that she is familiar with. She enjoys getting treats, but she has not started to take them from our hands. We believe that she would do best with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, in her furever home. Ada would make a greyt addition to an existing pack.

Shy Girl

Aster is a two year old brindle female. She ran 26 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Now this sweet, but shy, girl is looking for a quiet and understanding family that will help her to become a dog. She has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Aster is one of three sisters that we currently have available for adoption. She is very shy around new people and in new environments. She needs a family that will take their time with her and help her come out of her shell. She gets along greyt with the other greyhounds and she enjoys playing and doing zoomies. She has show some interest in toys, but it is usually when another greyhound shows her what to do. If you just watch her interact with the others, you would never know that she is shy. But when you go to her, her body language changes and she will walk away. Due to her need for a quiet environment, we will only place her with older kids (12+). We also believe that she would do best in a home with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, to help her through her transition and show her how to be a dog. She likes to go for walks as long as she knows the person walking her and in a familiar area. She enjoys getting her treats, but she has not taken them from our hands. Aster would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

So Sweet

Cherry is a three year old fawn female. She ran 85 races at Palm Beach, Flager, Naples/Ft. Myers and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After all this travel, she is looking for a long term commitment with a loving adoptive family. She has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. While at the track, Cherry has been diagnosed with Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca or Dry Eye. She receives eye drops twice a day and we use warm compresses to clean her eyes. She stays perfectly still for you to administer the drops and clean her eyes. She will need this care for the rest of her life. The drops are not expensive and it takes very little time to do. She is a wonderfully affectionate hound and loves to get attention and affection from people. She gets along greyt with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup and joins in with the daily zooomie run. She has not started to play with toys yet, but she has shown an interest in the squeak. She does share the volunteer attention nicely. If another greyhound pushes their way through to the volunteer, she simply walks away and waits her turn. We believe that she has the perfect temperament to become an "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. When you are getting her ready for her walk, she is very patient and calm. She enjoys getting her treats, but she is not obsessed about it and she has not started to take the from our hands. Cherry would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Amazing

Ironmman is a three year old black male. He ran 124 races at Orange Park and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. He is looking to enter a life long commitment with a family that will provide love and affection. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Ironman is a devastatingly handsome greyhound. We know that looks aren't everything, but he has got a greyt personality to accompany is striking look. He is very friendly and outgoing. He has no problem approaching anyone he first meets and he has been known to lean. He gets along with all the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He does enjoy playing with the toys, but he is not obsessed and is easily distracted. He is really only interested in the ones that squeak and here at the farm they are few and far between. He loves to complete his zoomies and he will do them with everyone or as a solo artist. But once he is done, whether it is playing or zooming, he always comes back to the human. We believe that given his outgoing personality, he would make a wonderful "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. He enjoys going out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He even has a little swagger to his walk. He loves getting his treats and he takes the nicely from your hand. Ironman would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Super Loving

Copper is a two year old red female. She ran 35 races at Flager, Naples/Ft. Myers and Daytona Greyhound Parks. Now this super sweet girl is looking for a family of her very own and a couch to rest her head. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Copper is very loving and affectionate. She is one of those subtle kind of girlie hounds. You would be walking around in playgroup, look down and she is there looking up at you with those big love bug eyes. If you rub her ears just right, you can get a big smile from her. She also has a tickle spot on the side of her chest that makes her leg shake. She loves to be in her playgroup with the other greyhounds and she gets along with everyone. She has not started to play with the toys, but she does show some interest when she hears them squeak. We believe that given time, she will be a toy aficionado. She loves to run and takes her daily zoomies seriously. She will do them with the group or on her own and sometimes when everyone is done, she will take an extra victory zoomie around the yard. She enjoys going out for walks, but she could use some practice to not cross in front of the walker. But she listens well and should pick it up very fast. She enjoys getting her treats, but she has not started to take them from our hands. Copper would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Happy Brood

Iris is a six year old red fawn female. She ran 121 races at Southland and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. After her racing career, she returned to her farm to start her second career as a brood momma. We are not sure how many offspring she has had as they have not been registered in the data base yet. Now she is looking for a lifelong commitment from a loving and fun family. Iris has an infectious spirit and can bring a smile to your face. She gives you the impression that she has never had a bad day and that she has never met a stranger. She is very outgoing and social. She enjoys being around the other greyhounds and she shares nicely. She has that confident brood momma thing down perfectly. She has shown some interest in toy, but hasn't opened up that play side yet. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She has a very happy bounce to her step and you can see that she is enjoying herself. She knows that when she returns, she gets a treat and she will watch you until she gets it. She has not started to take the treats from our hands. We believe that due to her positive attitude and outgoing nature, she would make a good therapy greyhound. Iris would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

ANGEL - ADOPTED

Big Boy, Big Heart

Fast is a an almost two year old white and black male (cowdog). He ran 9 races at Dubuque and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. Now this big boy wants nothing more than a fun furever family with a back yard and lots of toys. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Fast is a big boy with a race weight of 78 pounds, that means that his pet weight will easily be in the mid to high 80's. He is a lot of greyhound. His body is big, but his heart is bigger!! He is very loving and affectionate. He loves to be around people and if you rub his bum, he will do a goofy dance. He enjoys being with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He is big, but he doesn't throw his weight around. He loves to do his zoomies either alone or with the other dogs, and he will initiate them by giving them a happy play bow. He enjoys playing with the toys, even the ones that don't squeak, but he will let you take it from him. If another greyhound wants a toy that he has, he will let them have it and simply walk away. Due to his playful nature, we are looking for a home with a fenced in yard and older kids (5+). He likes to go for walks and once he gets over his "OMG!! You have a leash in your hands!!" excitement, he walks nicely on a leash. He does know that once he returns from his walk, he gets a treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. Fast would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

ELI

Greyt Gal

Carma is a four year old black female. She ran 153 races at Mardi Gras, Orange Park and Daytona Beach Kennel Club. Now she is looking to bring good fortune to her furever family. She has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Carma is a all around greyt gal. She is lots of fun and has a bubbly personality. She is going to have some lucky adopter wrapped around her little paw. She enjoys going outside with the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she will initiate the zoomies and the play. She will give them a dainty play bow and off she goes leading the pack. She will play with the toys and she will share with the other greyhounds nicely. But she doesn't need any company to keep herself entertained. She knows how to complete her zoomies all on her own and she even knows how to throw the toy in the air for herself. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). She enjoys going out for her walks and once she gets over the excitement of seeing a leash, she walks nicely and calmly. She is quite aware that she is supposed to get a treat and will stare you down until you obey. Carma will make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

She's a Charmer

Wanda is a four year old white and red female. She ran 138 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. She suffered a career ending injury, a broken right rear leg, that has healed and she has full use. Now she just wants to spend her retirement getting adored by her family. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Wanda has it all. She is beautiful, outgoing, social and friendly. She can definitely twist your heart around her paw and she knows it. She has been on leash restriction since her arrival, March 3rd, to ensure that her leg is truly healed. She enjoys going for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She has a swagger to her walk and if you stop, she will lean on your leg. She has gone on walks and out for potty with the other greyhounds and gets along greyt with all of them. If another greyhound gives her attitude, she won't just walk away, but she won't feed into it either. She has shown some interest in squeaky toys, but she has not started to play yet. We believe that she will be a toy hoarder in her retirement. She would make a wonderful "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption and even possibly a therapy greyhound. Wanda would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Gorgeous and Friendly

Wagner is a four year old fawn male. He ran 61 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Now that he is retired he is looking for a fun and playful family that wants a very happy go lucky greyhound. He has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Wags is your typical goofy male greyhound. He loves people and will even give you a love nibble to show his affection. He enjoys playing with toys, but he does not obsess over them and you can take them from him. He actually likes it best when you play with him. He gets along greyt with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. If another greyhound wants something he has, he will either take it and walk away or let them have it. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). We believe that he would make a greyt "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. He can definitely hold a volunteers attention with his come hither eyes. He enjoys going out for a walks and he has a swagger to his step. He walks nicely on a leash and when you stop, he will lean. He likes getting his treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. Wagner would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Sweet and Petite

Missy is a two year old white and brindle female. She ran 32 races at Southland, Wheeling and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now this sweet little girl would love to find a furever family that will spoil her with toys and treats. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Missy is a very sweet and playful little girlie hound. She enjoys being around people just as much as she enjoys being around the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She is outgoing and social. It was very hard to get any pictures of her because it was very hard to get her to not be attached to us. She gets along with all the other greyhounds and she does share nicely. If another greyhound wants something that she has, she will simply walk away and let the take it. She loves to join in on the zoomies, but she does not initiate them. She loves the toys and her furever family will need a toy box big enough for her few hundred faves. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her in a home with older kids (10+). She likes to go out for walks and while you are getting her harness on her, she will stand still. But she could use some practice to not cross in front of her walker. She enjoys her treats, but she has not started to take them from out hands. Missy would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Sweet Angel

Angel is a two year old red female. She ran 19 races at Orange Park, Mardi Gras and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After all that travel during her short career, she is ready to settle down with a committed family. She tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Angel is a very sweet and unassuming girlie hound. When she first meets you she can be a little hesitant, but once she gets to know you she will follow you around in the paddock without you even knowing that she is there. She doesn't demand your attention but when you give it to her, you just cannot stop. It was hard to get her picture for her profile because she stayed so close to us. She likes being with the other greyhounds and she gets along with everyone in her playgroup. She will occasionally join in on the zoomies, but she never initiates. She has not started to play with toys and if you squeak one, she hardly looks over. She doesn't like the pushy hounds and will walk away from them. Due to her reserve nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). We believe that she would do best in a home with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, to follow and be her friend. She enjoys going for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She loves her treats, but she has not taken them from our hands. Angels would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.
