CONAN

Greyt Brood

Kachina is an eight year old brindle female. She ran 114 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Once she was done on the oval, she returned to her farm to be a brood momma. She had 19 offspring in three litters, including Diamond, Wv's Diamond, who we placed in her furever home. Now she is looking for a furever family of her own that will spoil her and treat her like a Queen. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Kachina is a very chill brood. She has nothing to prove and is given that automatic respect that most broods get from other greyhounds. She gets along with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup, but she will mostly stay closer to the calmer, shyer hounds. In true brood fashion, it is almost like she is babysitting them. She has not shown any interest in toys yet, but she does like to complete her daily zoomies with the pack. We have not seen her do zoomies on her own. We believe that with her calm and confident nature, that she would make a greyt therapy greyhound candidate. She is very loving and affectionate. She would perk up anybody's day and help them feel better. She loves to go for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She will even stand perfectly still while her walker puts on her harness. When she returns from her walks, she knows that she is supposed to get a treat. She will watch while you get it and takes it very gently from your hand. Every pack should have a brood momma and she is no exception. Kachina would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to any pack.

Loves to Play

Zapper is a two year old brindle male. He ran 54 races at Birmingham Greyhound Park. This boy is a player not a racer and would be very happy playing his retirement away. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Zapper has a lot of playful energy and enjoys showing it off. He loves playing with the other greyhounds in his playgroup, but they are not a necessity for him to have fun. He just needs some toys and a fenced in area to be a big goof. He will initiate the play and the zoomies, but he does share nicely. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). He likes getting attention from people and he will let you know. He will give you a nudge or a bump to tell you that he is ready for you to pet him. Beware that once you start, he doesn't really want you to stop. He enjoys going out for a walk, but he could use some practice on a leash. He can be pull a little too much and tends to cross in front of the walker. He loves and expects his treats, but he has not started to take them from our hands. Zapper would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Sweet and Petite

Missy is a two year old white and brindle female. She ran 32 races at Southland, Wheeling and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now this sweet little girl would love to find a furever family that will spoil her with toys and treats. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Missy is a very sweet and playful little girlie hound. She enjoys being around people just as much as she enjoys being around the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She is outgoing and social. It was very hard to get any pictures of her because it was very hard to get her to not be attached to us. She gets along with all the other greyhounds and she does share nicely. If another greyhound wants something that she has, she will simply walk away and let the take it. She loves to join in on the zoomies, but she does not initiate them. She loves the toys and her furever family will need a toy box big enough for her few hundred faves. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her in a home with older kids (10+). She likes to go out for walks and while you are getting her harness on her, she will stand still. But she could use some practice to not cross in front of her walker. She enjoys her treats, but she has not started to take them from out hands. Missy would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

So Sweet

Cherry is a three year old fawn female. She ran 85 races at Palm Beach, Flager, Naples/Ft. Myers and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After all this travel, she is looking for a long term commitment with a loving adoptive family. She has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. While at the track, Cherry has been diagnosed with Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca or Dry Eye. She receives eye drops twice a day and we use warm compresses to clean her eyes. She stays perfectly still for you to administer the drops and clean her eyes. She will need this care for the rest of her life. The drops are not expensive and it takes very little time to do. She is a wonderfully affectionate hound and loves to get attention and affection from people. She gets along greyt with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup and joins in with the daily zooomie run. She has not started to play with toys yet, but she has shown an interest in the squeak. She does share the volunteer attention nicely. If another greyhound pushes their way through to the volunteer, she simply walks away and waits her turn. We believe that she has the perfect temperament to become an "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. When you are getting her ready for her walk, she is very patient and calm. She enjoys getting her treats, but she is not obsessed about it and she has not started to take the from our hands. Cherry would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Ironmman is a three year old black male. He ran 124 races at Orange Park and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. He is looking to enter a life long commitment with a family that will provide love and affection. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Ironman is a devastatingly handsome greyhound. We know that looks aren't everything, but he has got a greyt personality to accompany is striking look. He is very friendly and outgoing. He has no problem approaching anyone he first meets and he has been known to lean. He gets along with all the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He does enjoy playing with the toys, but he is not obsessed and is easily distracted. He is really only interested in the ones that squeak and here at the farm they are few and far between. He loves to complete his zoomies and he will do them with everyone or as a solo artist. But once he is done, whether it is playing or zooming, he always comes back to the human. We believe that given his outgoing personality, he would make a wonderful "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. He enjoys going out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He even has a little swagger to his walk. He loves getting his treats and he takes the nicely from your hand. Ironman would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Diamond in the Rough

Leta is a two year old red female. She ran four races at Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now she is looking to find a loving furever family that has dog experience and a big fenced in yard. She has tested older kid and some large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Leta is a friendly and outgoing girlie hound who likes to be in charge. She has a dominate personality and needs an experienced dog owner who will set limits and stick to them. She is very sweet and loves the affection and attention of our volunteers. She enjoys getting pets and will stand next to you forever as long as you are petting her. She will even lean on you and has been known to let out a moan or two during some serious ear rubs. She gets along with some of the greyhounds in her playgroups. She likes to be in charge and does best with a mid pack dog, not too weak and not in charge. She loves to play and do her zoomies, and she has no problem initiating either with the other members of the playgroup. She loves toys and she will share them with the other greyhounds. She loves the toys whether they squeak or not. Her furever parents need to provide a large toy collection for this girl. Due to her in charge nature, we will only place her with older kids (12+). We will also recommend that her adoptive family take her to training classes. Don't miss out on her, she is a diamond in the rough and will certainly make her family proud. She loves to go for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. Leta would make a greyt family member to an experienced dog family.

Such a Sweet Boy

Nite is a seven year old black male. He ran 41 races at Gulf Greyhound Park. He has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Nite came to Our Village through another adoption group. They placed him and he started to show signs of severe thunder phobia. He was very reactive towards people when they asked him to go out or do other tasks during a storm. We brought him to the farm and found him to be a delightful, fun, loving and sweet boy who didn't like thunder storms or even rain storms. We have worked with him over the year that he was been with us and he is much better during storms. Instead of the panting, quivering, drooling wide-eyed panicked greyhound he was, he is now able to lie down in a crate and pant less than he did before. We know that he needs his own space during rain, thunder and lightening, hail and fireworks. We know that he needs to be crated or put in an X-pen where he can feel safe and know that no one will bother him. We know that he is better during severe storms and fireworks with some type of mild sedation, like a benadryl. Due to his storm/fireworks phobia, we will not place him with kids. He likes kids and has not problem being around them, but we feel that he would do best in an environment where they only were visitors. Nite loves being outside with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and participates in the daily zoomies. He will initiate play or keep himself occupied. He loves to go out for a walk and he walks nicely on a leash. He knows that when he returns from playing or walking he gets a treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. We are looking for an experienced greyhound adopter who understands and will respect Nite's fear.

He has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. We have placed his brother Mikey and his sisters Beth, Jeannie and Talisha and they are all doing wonderful. Sammy is the type of greyhound that could go to any type of home and do greyt. He has a very friendly and endearing personality. He gets along greyt with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares your attention nicely. He has not shown any interest in toys, even the ones that squeak, but he loves to join in on the zoomies. He does not care for the very exuberant hounds and he will stay away from them. But he loves to pal around with the more laid back greyhounds and gravitates more towards them. Due to his outgoing and laid back personality, we believe that he would make a greyt therapy greyhound. He loves going out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He will even stand perfectly still for his walker to put on his harness. He has a nice pep in his step and is quite cute with his shortened tail. When he returns from his walk, he knows that he is supposed to get a treat. He loves being around the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He will initiate playtime and zoomies, but he does not like being around pushy or alpha greyhounds. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Josh is truly a wonderfully fun, goofy and attentive boy. He does participate in the daily zoomie run and he has been seen initiating. He also loves to play with the toys, even the ones that do not squeak, and he shares nicely. Your Shadow

Danny is a three year old black male. He ran 85 races at Dubuque, Sarasota and Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now that he did all that travel, he is looking for a family who wants a greyt furever boy in their lives. He has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Danny is just a pleasure to be around. He has a very "old soul" kind of feel about him and he can win you over with just one look from those big beautiful eyes. He enjoys getting your attention and affection. He will stand by your side and lean on you for as long as your are petting him. He will be some lucky adopter's "Velcro" boy. He enjoys playing with the other greyhounds and does share nicely. He likes the toys, but he tends to stick to the ones that will squeak. But he is not toy obsessed and he is definitely capable of entertaining himself. He likes to join in with the zoomies, but he is not an initiator. He does not like greyhounds that tend to be bullies. He would much rather be around the goofy playful greyhounds. We believe that with his outgoing and confident, but not pushy, personality, he would make a greyt therapy greyhound candidate. He loves to go out for walks and once he gets into it he walks nicely on a leash. When he returns from his walk, he does expect his treat and will watch you intensely until you get it for him. She is very affectionate and loves to follow you around. She will be some lucky adopter's "Velcro" hound. She loves being out with the other greyhounds and she gets along with all of them. She hasn't shown any interest in toys, even when you squeak the toy right in front of her. She will walk towards you, and you think that it is for the toy, but she really just wants to be with you. It was very hard to get her picture because we couldn't get enough distance from her. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She will even stand perfectly still while you put on her harness. She does know that she gets a treat after her walk and she will give you a stare down until there is a cookie coming her way. Amandaville is a four year old red female. She ran 43 races at Orange Park and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now she needs a special person who will give her the time and support she needs to be successful in her furever home. She has tested other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Amandaville was placed in a home, but she took over and had to be returned. She has a very strong personality and would do best with other greyhounds in her home with an experienced adopter. She needs someone who is going to set limits with her and stick to them. She also needs a fenced in backyard so she can enjoy her zoomie time and play. She has been at Greyt Acres Farm for a while now and our volunteers have worked with her. They have done an amazing job helping her drop some extra pounds and working on her social skills. It is because of their hard work and dedication that she is ready to find her true forever home. Due to her first placement, we will not place her in a home with kids. She likes kids and has no problem with them, but we do not want her to become alpha over them. She loves to go out for her walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She loves getting treats and she takes them nicely from your hand. We recommend that her new parents take her to obedience training to help her understand that they are in charge. Amandaville would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

There was only one pup in that litter and he/she has not been registered yet. Now she is ready to find her furever family to baby her for her retirement. She has tested kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Etnia is just the happiest, friendliest and affectionate girl ever and she loves to be around people. She loves to go out with the other greyhounds and she shares nicely. She gets very excited for our afternoon play time and will do her daily zoomies both with or without the other greyhounds. She loves toys and will even play with the ones that no longer squeak. If there is any trouble in the playgroup, she will run over and fix it with just her presence. She is not pushy or a bully, she just has that Brood Momma confidence that other greyhounds automatically respect. She really enjoys being around people and will become your shadow in the play area. She always greets you with a big smile and a helicopter tail. Her tail is shorter and it seems that she may have had some of it surgically removed, probably due to happy tail. Due to her friendly, outgoing and confident nature, we believe that she would make a greyt therapy greyhound. She enjoys going for walks and can be a little pulley on a leash at first from the excitement. But she settles in nicely and then walks like a champ. She would much rather spend her time playing with toys and doing zoomies for just the fun of it. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Swifty is a very petite little girl with a wonderful personality. She enjoys being around the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she is definitely a follower. She will attach herself to another greyhound and follow them around, but does not annoy or pester them. She just seems to want a pal. She shows some interest in the toys, but only the ones that squeak. If you squeak a toy, she will come over to investigate the noise and her cute ears will instantly go up. If you throw the toy, she will run up to it but she is easily distracted and walks away. She loves getting attention from people and can easily worm her way through the crowd to get to you. Due to her young age, we will only place her in a home with older kids (10+). She enjoys going out for a walk, but she does need some practice to heal nicely and not cross in front of the walker. She gets along with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she shares nicely. She does suffer from toy-mania, she goes from toy to toy to toy. She initiates playtime and zoomies with a fun bow. She is a tease and will play keep away from the person. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). Super Loving

Copper is a two year old red female. She ran 35 races at Flager, Naples/Ft. Myers and Daytona Greyhound Parks. Now this super sweet girl is looking for a family of her very own and a couch to rest her head. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Copper is very loving and affectionate. She is one of those subtle kind of girlie hounds. You would be walking around in playgroup, look down and she is there looking up at you with those big love bug eyes. If you rub her ears just right, you can get a big smile from her. She also has a tickle spot on the side of her chest that makes her leg shake. She loves to be in her playgroup with the other greyhounds and she gets along with everyone. She has not started to play with the toys, but she does show some interest when she hears them squeak. We believe that given time, she will be a toy aficionado. She loves to run and takes her daily zoomies seriously. She will do them with the group or on her own and sometimes when everyone is done, she will take an extra victory zoomie around the yard. She enjoys going out for walks, but she could use some practice to not cross in front of the walker. But she listens well and should pick it up very fast. She enjoys getting her treats, but she has not started to take them from our hands. Copper would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Just Wants to Have Fun!

Cronk is a two year old black male. He ran 21 races at Derby Lane and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After a short stint at running the oval, he is ready to make a track in his furever backyard. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Cronk is a big, goofy, fun and playful boy. He loves being out in the paddock with his playgroup or alone. He loves toys, even the ones that do not squeak. His love for toys is passionate, but not obsessive. He will share the toys with the other greyhounds in his playgroup. If another greyhound wants the toy that he has, he will let them have it and move onto the next available toy. He loves doing the daily zoomies and he will do them in a group or on his own. He does initiate play and zoomies with the other greyhounds with an awkward play bow and then a take off. He also has an affectionate side and likes to lean on you. He loves butt rubs and if you hit the right spot, he will do a little dance. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). He enjoys going out for walks, but he could use some practice to not cross in front of his walker. He loves his treats, loves his treats. He has not started to take them from our hands, but he watches you intensely until he gets it. Cronk would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Such Good Spirit

Tanesha is a four year old black female. She ran 192 races at Flager, Palm Beach and Daytona Beach Kennel Clubs. After all that running your would think that she is ready to relax, but not this little girl. She has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, but she is not cat or small animal safe. Tanesha has a spunky fun contagious spirit that can only put a smile on your face. She loves being out with or without the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She has no problem entertaining herself and also entertaining you. She completes her zoomies with lightning speed and whizzes right by you. She also loves to run with the volunteer. She likes to play with toys, even the ones that no longer have squeakability. She has no problem sharing with the other greyhounds and will also let you take the toy from her. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). She is not all play. She will stand by your side to get attention and will lean into you to get noticed. She enjoys going for walks and once the initial excitement wears off, she walks nicely on a leash. We believe that she would do best with an active family that will include her in their activities. She loves getting her treats and she takes them nicely from your hand. Tanesha would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Carma is a four year old black female. She ran 153 races at Mardi Gras, Orange Park and Daytona Beach Kennel Club. Now she is looking to bring good fortune to her furever family. She has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however she is not cat or small animal safe. Carma is a all around greyt gal. She is lots of fun and has a bubbly personality. She is going to have some lucky adopter wrapped around her little paw. She enjoys going outside with the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she will initiate the zoomies and the play. She will give them a dainty play bow and off she goes leading the pack. She will play with the toys and she will share with the other greyhounds nicely. But she doesn't need any company to keep herself entertained. She knows how to complete her zoomies all on her own and she even knows how to throw the toy in the air for herself. Due to her playful nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). She enjoys going out for her walks and once she gets over the excitement of seeing a leash, she walks nicely and calmly. She is quite aware that she is supposed to get a treat and will stare you down until you obey. Carma will make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Handsome and Playful

Conan is a two year old white and black male. He ran 21 races at Orange Park, Sanford/Orlando and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. He has decided to take an early retirement and spend his days doing zoomies in his furever backyard. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Conan is a very handsome boy who wants nothing more than a good squeaky toy and your attention. He loves being out with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He will do his zoomies either with the group or on his own. He loves all the toys in the play paddock, but he has not destroyed any of them. He will initiate play and zoomies with a goofy play bow, but if he does not get a response he will play or run on his own. He marches to the beat of his own drum. He loves getting your attention and will stand by you to get some extra lovins. If another greyhound wants his toy, he will take it and run around trying to get them to chase him. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (5+). He enjoys a nice walk and once he gets over his "OMG!! Is that a leash in your hand?!?!" happiness, he settles in and walks nicely on a leash. He does know that when he returns from his walk, he gets a treat. He will wait patiently and watch you intensely until he gets a treat, but he has not started to take them from our hands. AMANDAVILLE - ADOPTED

He is Ready!
Driver is a four year old white and red male. He ran eight races at Wheeling Downs Greyhound Park. We placed him in a home in New York and he lived there for nine months. However when he saw other dogs on his walks, he would get over excited and bite his walker on the hand. This happened many times. Due to this behavior, he was returned to our agency. He has been with us for two years and has been on Prozac 20mg every morning for the past year and a half. Thanks to a very concerned volunteer who worked with him for the past year and his medication, he is ready to find his furever home. She has taken him out in many different social situations, socialized him with other dogs, walked him on a leash, snuggled with him and has even gotten in his crate with him and he has not displayed any sign of aggression. The only time that he gets upset is when he is in his crate and someone that he does not know comes up to him. But if he meets that same person outside of his crate, even on a leash, he is fine and will go right up to them for attention. Driver has tested older kids and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. He loves to run and play. We have matched him up with several playmates throughout his time with us and he has never had a problem running and playing with them. He will also throw a toy up in the air and chase it all on his own. He loves getting his backside scratched and will even do a little dance. He loves treats and for months he has been enjoying Nutter Butter cookies thanks to his wonderful volunteer. We loves to go out for a walk and he walks nicely on a leash. Due to his past behavior, we will only place Driver with older kids (13+). His perfect furever home is quiet and patient. It has a fenced in backyard and another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, to play and as a companion. His furever parents have tons of dog experience and must be willing to continue his medication regiment. GAA will be very picky when finding him a furever home and we will want him to go to someone who will maintain contact with the organization. We will miss him terribly.

Old Soul

Rocky is a three year old black male. He ran 80 races at Southland and Tri-State Greyhound Parks. Now this old soul would like nothing more than a furever family that will enjoy long walks and extra love. He has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Rocky has a very calm and old soul feel about him. You can see it in the way he interacts with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and the way he carries himself around people. He is never pushy and he is the first to walk away from a pushy greyhound. He has not shown any interest in the toys yet, even the ones that squeak. If he is checking out his surroundings and you squeak a toy, he doesn't even lift his head to see where the noise came from. But if you throw a toy while he is watching, he will run after it. He gets along with all the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he loves to join in on the zoomie run. We have not seen him initiate or do solo zoomies. We believe that due to his very laid back and chill personality, he would make a greyt therapy greyhound. He enjoys going out for walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He will even stand perfectly still for his walker to put on his harness. He likes getting treats, but he has not started to take them from our hands. He will watch you intensely until you put it down for him and then he approaches the treat calmly. Rocky would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Big Boy, Big Heart

Fast is a an almost two year old white and black male (cowdog). He ran 9 races at Dubuque and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. Now this big boy wants nothing more than a fun furever family with a back yard and lots of toys. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Fast is a big boy with a race weight of 78 pounds, that means that his pet weight will easily be in the mid to high 80's. He is a lot of greyhound. His body is big, but his heart is bigger!! He is very loving and affectionate. He loves to be around people and if you rub his bum, he will do a goofy dance. He enjoys being with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He is big, but he doesn't throw his weight around. He loves to do his zoomies either alone or with the other dogs, and he will initiate them by giving them a happy play bow. He enjoys playing with the toys, even the ones that don't squeak, but he will let you take it from him. If another greyhound wants a toy that he has, he will let them have it and simply walk away. Due to his playful nature, we are looking for a home with a fenced in yard and older kids (5+). He likes to go for walks and once he gets over his "OMG!! You have a leash in your hands!!" excitement, he walks nicely on a leash. He does know that once he returns from his walk, he gets a treat and he takes them nicely from your hand. Fast would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Bogey is a three year old black male. He ran 71 races at Orange Park and Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now he wants to find a furever home with plenty of room to play and a family that will supply him with all the toys his heart desires. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, but he is not cat or small animal safe. Bogey is addicted to toys. He will go from toy to toy to toy with a strong passion to find one that will squeak. He likes being with the other greyhounds in his playgroup, but he does not find them necessary. He is quite capable of entertaining himself. He will do his zoomies by himself and he will even throw the toy in the air and catch it. When he is in there with other greyhounds, he shares nicely and will play and zoom with them. If he has a toy that another greyhound wants, he will simply take the toy and run away with it. Due to his playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). His perfect home has a fenced in backyard and another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for plenty of play time. He likes to go out for walks, and he could use some practice not pulling on the leash. He is a smart boy and knows when he is supposed to get a treat. He gets excited, but he takes them gently from your hand. Bogey would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Now this sweet girl would love nothing more than a furever family that will shower her with love and affection. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Psyched has a very loving and affectionate personality. She enjoys the company of her people and will seek you out in the playgroup. She is very unassuming and has a tendency to sneak up on you. You simply turn around and there she is looking at you with her big inviting eyes. She enjoys getting ear rubs and has been known to let out a little moan. She gets along greyt with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup and she shares nicely. She is not overly interested in the toys, but she has been seen playing with them. If another greyhound wants a toy that she has, she will simply walk away. She joins in on the daily zoomies and she will do them on her own, but she does not initiate the group zooomies. We believe that with her sweet personality, she would make a greyt "ambassa-dog" for greyhound adoption. She loves to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She will even stand perfectly still for her walker to put her harness on. She does like getting her treats and she will take them nicely from your hands. He's a Kisser

Dez is a three year old black male. He ran 79 races at Sanford/Orlando and Daytona Beach Greyhound Park. Now this happy go lucky big boy wants nothing more than his own baby pool and someone to smooch. He has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Dez is very friendly and enjoys the company of other greyhounds and people equally. This boy has never had a bad day in his life. Everything is just perfect in "Dez's World" and his spirit is contagious. He enjoys the company of the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. He likes to play with toys, especially the squeaky kind. If another greyhound wants a toy that he has, he will simply walk away and let them take it. He absolutely loves the baby pool. You can tell that it is his happy place. If there is water in the pool, it is very hard to get him to get out. Due to his active and playful nature, we will only place him in a home with older kids (10+). He's a Youngster

Extreme is a 21 month old black male. He ran 11 races at Derby Lane and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After a limited amount of times around the oval, he is ready to make a full time commitment with a furever family. He has tested older kid and other large breed friendly, however he is not cat or small animal safe. Extreme is just a pup and he has a goofy way of looking at the world. He walks into the glass doors, runs into the fence and enjoys going from toy to toy to toy. He gets along with all the greyhounds in his playgroup and does realize personal space for other dogs and people. He shares the toys nicely and if another greyhound wants his toy, he has no problem letting them have it and he moves onto the next available toy. He will join in on the zoomies or he will even do them alone. He initiates play with a goofy awkward play bow and sometimes he will let out a high pitched yip to get their attention. Due to his goofy and playful nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). He enjoys going out for walks and he will stand nicely for you to put on his harness. He could use some practice to heal on a leash and not cross in front of the walker. He does know that when he returns from his walk, he is supposed to get a treat. He will watch your every move until he gets a cookie. He has not taken them from our hands yet, but he will nose the until you put them down. Extreme would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

Don't Miss This Girl

Beaver is a two year old black female. She ran 8 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park. Now this girl would love nothing more than a furever family of her own with a lot of love to give. She has tested kid, cat and other breed friendly. Her sister Bonnie has been a part of Our Village and recently was picked by a family. Beaver is a friendly girl with a wonderful personality. She is outgoing with people, but not pushy or demanding of attention. She is very content just getting pets and affection. She will even follow you around until you notice her and give her some lovin'. She gets along with all the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She doesn't show any interest in toys. We spent a long time squeaking toys and throwing them, but she just looked at us like we were crazy. She does participate in the zoomies, but she does not initiate them. If another greyhound wants your attention, she will hang back and politely wait her turn. It was very hard to get her pictures for her profile, because all she wanted was love. She likes to go out for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She likes getting treats, but has not started to take them from our hands. Beaver would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.

MISSY - ADOPTED

Sweet Angel

Angel is a two year old red female. She ran 19 races at Orange Park, Mardi Gras and Daytona Beach Greyhound Parks. After all that travel during her short career, she is ready to settle down with a committed family. She tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Angel is a very sweet and unassuming girlie hound. When she first meets you she can be a little hesitant, but once she gets to know you she will follow you around in the paddock without you even knowing that she is there. She doesn't demand your attention but when you give it to her, you just cannot stop. It was hard to get her picture for her profile because she stayed so close to us. She likes being with the other greyhounds and she gets along with everyone in her playgroup. She will occasionally join in on the zoomies, but she never initiates. She has not started to play with toys and if you squeak one, she hardly looks over. She doesn't like the pushy hounds and will walk away from them. Due to her reserve nature, we will only place her with older kids (10+). We believe that she would do best in a home with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, to follow and be her friend. She enjoys going for walks and she walks nicely on a leash. She loves her treats, but she has not taken them from our hands. Angels would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.
