Adoptions to Date : 1,761 Greyhounds

Please note if there is a particular greyhound in our program that you are interested in, then please submit your application on-line immediately.  Greyhounds are allocated to appropriate families on a first come first serve basis.

If the first application for a particular greyhound is not an appropriate match, we will attempt to introduce that family to greyhounds that fit their profile and move onto the next application in line for the original greyhound.

Greyhounds are the oldest breed of dog known to man and are mentioned in the bible.

Greyhounds are couch potatoes and do not need room to run.  They are built for speed, not endurance.  You do not need a backyard to have a greyhound.  If you do not have a backyard, you will need to walk them at least four times per day.  They are also very dedicated to humans.  They will bond to your family within days, even though their adjustment to home life may take a couple of months.

Looking for a greyt place for your furkid to stay when you have to go away?
Greyhound Angels provides boarding services for greyhounds and their other breed friends.  We limit the number of boarders to ensure that we are able to give your furkid attention and plenty of love.

Want to pamper your hound?
A Greyhound Angels Spa Day is just what they may need.  We have a 4 foot by 5 foot walk in shower so we don't have to lift them off their long legs.

Hello Village!

HAULBECUE!!!

Next Saturday, November 1st, we are expecting 12 newly retired racing greyhound from Mobile Greyhound Park. We are expecting the haul to arrive on the farm around 12pm. We will be letting the newbies run around in the paddocks and bring them in one at a time to get them bathed in the barn. We need volunteers to be outside with them and monitor them while they wait for their "pretty" appointment.

After all the newbies are settled in, we will break bread together to celebrate their arrival to the village! We supply the hot dogs and hamburgers. We ask that everyone bring either a side dish, desert, soda or water.

We hope to see everyone next Saturday! It Takes a Village, Hug those Hounds!
